David Strathairn

A fabulous yet forgotten actor. You say the name and nobody recognizes it. You see him in a film and you think: "Hey it's that guy again. Where have I seen him before?" Well the odds are you've probably seen him in a whole lot. Always turning in a great performance, he's never really been given the chance to carry a movie. You may remember him as the blind "Whistler" in Sneakers with Robert Redford. He has also starred alongside other big names such as Meryl Streep in The River Wild and Nick Nolte in Mother Night, not to mention what may have been his best performance to date as Kathy Bates' drunk & abusive husband in Dolores Clayborne.
