These four one-semester classes teach students how to design and create their own Web pages. Students will have the opportunity to learn and use a variety of scripting languages and design tools, including HTML, JavaScript, Flash, Dynamic HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, Dreamweaver, and Server Side Includes. These courses will also provide students with opportunities to work with Linux Web servers and streaming multimedia servers, as well as learn some CGI scripting (using Perl), PHP, and MySQL. An emphasis is placed on creating professional-looking and efficient web pages. Students will be able to put their pages online and have access to them from outside Redwood. |
