LET'S GET ARTISTIC . . .

Art Explorations is an introductory course that is a prerequisite to all other art courses. Students are exposed to the visual arts and artistic expression. The class emphasizes the importance of art for personal expression, as well as for its importance as a cultural element in society. Art History is a course in which students, through slides, videos, original artwork, video discs, and projects, become familiar with major achievements in art and architecture. AP Studio Art is for highly motivated students who are seriously interested in the study of art. Students follow the national AP course of study, which culminates in the submission of a 44-piece portfolio to the College Board. Photography is an introductory course to the basic uses of photographic equipment. Students learn to take pictures and to develop, print, and enlarge film.

LET'S PLAY WITH CLAY . . .
